Electrical Engineer

Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd. (KWL) is currently seeking an innovative and motivated electrical engineer with at least 15 years experience to work in our Head Office in Burnaby BC.  The position provides the opportunity to build and manage a team of electrical design staff.  Typical work would include project management, design and construction, inspection, and facility commissioning.  Typical projects would include municipal and industrial infrastructure such as pump stations, reservoirs, standby power generation, water and wastewater treatment plants, process control, SCADA, District Energy Systems, and subdivision servicing.

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering;

• P.Eng. registration or eligible for registration in B.C.;

• Primary experience should include work with power supply and distribution, motor driven equipment, VFDs, standby power units, municipal and industrial infrastructure, District Energy Systems, and P&IDs

  for industrial and municipal infrastructure;

• Be capable and motivated to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities;

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills;

• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills and be able to work with team members in a 

  multi-disciplinary environment; and

• Experience with the following would be beneficial: 

  o SCADA systems; 

  o Instrumentation and controls; 

  o PLC programming; 

  o Development of P&IDs for municipal and industrial infrastructure, and; 

  o Power generation design
