Mike Currie

Mike Currie is the president of Kerr Wood Leidal Associates and an accomplished water resources engineer. He previously spent 7 years with the Water Management Branch of B.C. Environment, and has been with KWL for over 20 years. His experience encompasses virtually all aspects of water resources engineering, including watershed management, river and creek engineering, stormwater management, floodplain management, hydrology, and environmental assessment. He is one of the province’s leading experts in several aspects of water resources engineering, including debris flow hazard mitigation, flood emergency response and recovery, flood protection and floodplain management. Mike typically serves as either the project manager or senior review engineer for KWL’s major water resources projects. At the 2010 Engineers Canada Awards, Mike received the Meritorious Service Award for Professional Service. He is a national past-president of the Canadian Water Resources Association and past president of the Consulting Engineers of British Columbia.
